Level 5 Leadership Times 5

From recent blog posts, I have mentioned the variety of types of leadership styles and theories. Leadership will consist of a situation, an employee or individual, and a leadership style to solve the problem. Level 5 leadership based on the book "Good to Great" by Jim Collins. One topic they mention about Level 5 Leadership is the Culture of Discipline. A culture of discipline is not just about action. It is about getting disciplined people who engage in disciplined thought and who then take disciplined action. This is very important because depending on the individuals that are in the work place discipline can be a factor in determining what type of work ethic one might have thus allowing to determine what style of leadership is required in that situation. Level 5 leadership according to the image that is presented in the text, is that they focus on who is involved and then what specific tasks need to be completed according to the individual Where others will focus on what needs to be completed and then according to those needs they assign the right individuals to complete the tasks. Just the simplicity of the image can explain the complexity and a deeper understanding of the relationship of a Level 5 leader compared to the Level 4 type of leader.
